1/ How to reveal your natural curls?

Detangling wet hair with a brush or comb makes it appear wavy rather than curly and slightly shorter than its actual length. But once dry, the hair shrinks. The shrinkage is less intense and the curls are wider on the same strand, there are more smooth spaces.

The actual length of the hair is less hidden, but not fully revealed like with straight hair. Hair growth is more visible sooner because the hair shrinks less. The shrinkage is slightly less noticeable than with other curl sizes.

Because the curls are wider and less tight, creating locs is entirely possible. Using tools (e.g., crochet hooks, etc.) may be necessary depending on the desired size of the locs.
